Another new layout. Those two can be the best of friends and the worst of enemies. You would never guess that from this picture! Most of the time they are so funny together, and play so nicely I have to stop what I am doing and just watch them....
This is a painting I made as a custom order baby gift. It is 20x25cm, I think, and is done with layers of acrylic paint applied in various techniques, with paper collage pieces used to create the image. The baby's name is Nitzan, which in Hebrew means bud, so the request was to have flower buds in the painting. The piece has been delivered and the recipients are happy with the gift.
This is a new layout I made, completely lifted from Stephanie Howell. I used my new Hero Arts stamp on the background, some scraps of paper I had lying around for the butterflies which I cut with the Cuttlebug. Buttons, Fiskars border punch, and my black marker pen. The picture is me and my two girls, taken this past August. Thanks for looking!
Ok, so here we go. My first arty post. Nothing fancy, nothing long, just a couple of pictures of paintings that I made recently, and figured out how to play with a bit in Photoshop. (So proud of myself for that- ignore the fact that I followed a step-by-step tutorial written for dummies.......) These paingings were inspired by my need to combine layers of acrylic paint and such with layers of paper and such. Such combining is such fun.
So, this is day two of my blog's existence. We are spending time together getting to know each other, just like a new mom with her baby. And what have we learned so far? The mother has learned to change her baby's clothes, but the baby still doesn't seem to be doing very much more than lying around.... hmph.
