Nili's Eyes

Nili's eyes were the brightest blue!
How is that for an all blue girls layout!

Eliya and Ella Layout

My friend and I had our girls about 2 weeks apart. This is them, a couple of weeks old, and loving every minute of it, apparently!
Sorry for the poor photo, it is grey and dim out today... Soon the rain should start.....

Daddy and Baby

This is Leon with Eliyah. I made some pom-pom flowers and used a printed transparency, along with scraps from my scrap drawer.

A Quick Layout

Here is yet another super fast page, made using papers from October Afternoon, some transparencies, ribbon, button, and new paper edger.
These pictures are from when Eliyah was born.... now she is almost 6!
Thanks for looking,
Shalvi

These are some signs that I made. They are about 8x12 inches, on canvas board. I used acrylic layers, watercolor layers, and paper cutouts to create these mixed media pieces.

The Hebrew on the first two pieces, which depict a Jerusalem scene, says Mizrach, which means East. The blue, green and purple ones say Shalom, Peace, or Welcome. The orange one says Welcome.

The Mizrach ones have sold already, but if you are interested in any of the others, please contact me for details...

New Layout

Another new layout. Those two can be the best of friends and the worst of enemies. You would never guess that from this picture! Most of the time they are so funny together, and play so nicely I have to stop what I am doing and just watch them....

Another tree

Here is another tree. On this one I played with some textured background effects, and lots of color. I painted the birds on canvas and cut them out.

Tree

This is one of a few tree paintings I did this past May. I used a variety of techniques using acrylic paint, some crackle medium, gesso, and paper flowers.

Sold

This painting, one of my first using the new techniques I have been playing with this winter, has been sold.

Custom Order

This is a painting I made as a custom order baby gift. It is 20x25cm, I think, and is done with layers of acrylic paint applied in various techniques, with paper collage pieces used to create the image. The baby's name is Nitzan, which in Hebrew means bud, so the request was to have flower buds in the painting.
The piece has been delivered and the recipients are happy with the gift.

New Layout

This is a new layout I made, completely lifted from Stephanie Howell.
I used my new Hero Arts stamp on the background, some scraps of paper I had lying around for the butterflies which I cut with the Cuttlebug. Buttons, Fiskars border punch, and my black marker pen.
The picture is me and my two girls, taken this past August.
Thanks for looking!

photos

Ok, so let's see if it works this time. These should be the photoshopped pics, and look a little nicer.

Hmmm...

Ok so those were not the pictures I had Photoshopped. Have to go and find those. Will post them another time.

Something new (ish)

Ok, so here we go. My first arty post. Nothing fancy, nothing long, just a couple of pictures of paintings that I made recently, and figured out how to play with a bit in Photoshop. (So proud of myself for that- ignore the fact that I followed a step-by-step tutorial written for dummies.......)
These paingings were inspired by my need to combine layers of acrylic paint and such with layers of paper and such. Such combining is such fun.

Day Two

So, this is day two of my blog's existence. We are spending time together getting to know each other, just like a new mom with her baby. And what have we learned so far? The mother has learned to change her baby's clothes, but the baby still doesn't seem to be doing very much more than lying around.... hmph.

The Dawn of a New Era

It really must be if I have a blog....
Thank you for pushing me do this, and teaching me the basics (you know who you are- find yourself among my followers!)

Hi Shalvi!
